Balance in health!!!
Is everything for all of us to walk on this planet
with a meaning?
If FEEL YES!!!
so
here Ayurveda has a great wisdom to work on this on root level
According to Ayurveda a state of health is explained and thought in a very beautiful way by Achary Sushrut .
The concept 'Man is a miniature of the Universe'. Ayurveda aims at a life attuned to the nature. Life is relational, interdependent, interconnective, ayurveda is a system of mutual nourishment and care, not only physically, but also psychologically and spiritually.
Every individual is composed of a body, mind and spirit. The ancient Rishis of India developed the Science of Life in all the three dimensions viz. Ayurveda, which deals mainly with the physical body; Yoga which deals mainly with mind and blissful soul within .
Your physical body must be in balance with Nature, your mind must be in harmony with the group-mind of the society or the group you live in, and your soul must be in a satisfying relationship with the universal soul if you are to be truly healthy
Your most precious possession is your life. It is yours and yours alone. According to Ayurvedic concepts, a man who is individually happy and healthy is 'sukhayush' in contrast to another individual who is individually unhappy and unhealthy, who is considerd as 'dukhayush.
The Sanskrit word 'svastha' means healthy and asvastha means the ill health. The 'svastha' is derived from 'sva' means self . The very meaning is the state of being when an individual is seated or established in the self, in his most original or natural state.
The goal of life is true freedom from death and disease; enjoyment of uninterrupted physical, mental and spiritual happiness and fulfillment.
Ayurveda prefers moderation. You willingly limit yourself or Nature will limit you. Indulgence is a legitimate life goal, but it is only one of the four life goals. Life becomes complete when these goals are achieved.
Ayurveda's defines Four Goals in Life they are :
1. Dharma - The goal of fulfilling the duties assigned to you by your positions in society.
2. Artha - The goal of accumulating possessions in the course of fulfilling your duties.
3. Kama - The goal of satisfying legitimate desires with the help of your own accumulated possessions.
4. Moksha - It means the salvation.
The man is born on this earth only to achieve these four objectives.
And one can attain these four only when he is healthy not only at every cellular level but also at mind ,all five senses, and soul. Acharya shusrut has define health very beautifully in these two lines

“Samadoshah samagnishcha samadhatumlakriyah”
“Prasannatmendriyamanah
swasth ityabhidhiyate.
Samas doshah
– Balance in three vital energies.
According to Ayurvedic
philosophy, the five elements combine in pairs and form three dynamic forces
called as 'doshas'. viz. vata, pitta and kapha. Doshas are the primary life
forces or biological humors. The entire body functions are explained in terms
of these doshas. They are called dosha because of their inherent tendency to
get vitiated and to vitiate each other.
Sama agni-
balance state of agni (metabolism)
Agni, which is basic factor in
ayurvedic principles for maintenance of life. As long as life in man organ,
tissue, cell has to undergo constant process of change either for yielding
energy (catabolic) or synthesize the tissue (anabolic), for this an inherent factor is exist, termed
as Agni. In Ayurveda balance in agni (metabolic functions) play very vital role
in creating balance with in. Agni maintains organism’s integrity and vitality by converting the food
consumed in various ways, into various structural and functional components and
also to provide the energy. It is necessary
for proceeding with its innumerable vital activities through the pakadi karmas i.e. Biophysical and biochemical processes. Hence the
term “Agni” does not mean mere fire, the term comprehends various factors which
participate and regulate the course of digestion and metabolism or any
transformation in the tissue of an organism.
Sama dhatu- balance in dhatu(body tissue)
It manifests in our physical
being as the life energy. The products of digestion are the seven tissues or dhatu which anchor
mind and spirit firmly in the physical body. The nature of these tissues is to
nourish and support one another.
Sama Mala Kriya –balance in excretion (balance
excretion of urine ,faeces, sweat)
These trimalas (three body wastes) are feces, urine
and sweat. The malas are such excretable products of the body which play vital
physiological role in the system. In appropriate limits, they are too considered as sustainers of life in the
same way as the dhatus. excess loss of malas leads to disease and even to
death. For example very severe diarrhoea leads to dehydration, hypotension and
eves endangers the life. Hence, the moderate excretion and optimum excretion of
malas is the bodily requirement for sustenance of life.
Prasannatmendriyamanah-
(happy and blissfull soul ,mind ,senses)
When all
five senses are performing their function in proper way and in balance, mind is
clear and focused and soul is in bliss .Then only a human being can be consider
as at a stage of optimum health .
So here
ayurveda explain when person is in swastha then only he /she can attain four pursuit
of life and live fully in this planet. We walk this planet for such a short time.
In overall scheme of things, our lives are mere blips on the canvas of eternity.
So it’s worth to underhand and has wisdom of self and self healing to enjoy the
journey and savour the process.
Thank youJ
