BALAM – Immunity Immunity is described as “Balam” in Ayurveda. The literal meaning of Balam is strength. Charaka has used the word “Vyadhi” and “AvyadhiKshamatva” in this reference.  The term Balam means good VyadhiKshamatva, that is good immunity against disease. Three types of immunity There are three types of immunity (Balam) according to Charaka :- 1.    Sahajam :- Sahajam means congenital. It comes through inheritance, mostly from the mother and father. Therefore it is of two types – Matraja(maternal) and Pitraja (paternal). Ayurveda has described a principle of genes and chromosomes under the heading of Beeja and BeejaBhagaAvayava. CONCEPT OF IMMUNITY What is immunity? The concept of immunity has recently been developed by modern science, but it was very deeply studied in all its aspects in Ayurveda, at least one thousand year B.C in CharakaSamhita. A very interesting questions was asked by Agnivesha, a very scholarly disciple of Atreya. He had observed that the person who take only a wholesome diet are seen to be both healthy and diseased. Similarly, the person who don’t take wholesome food also are seen in a healthy as well as a diseased condition. He wondered how to attribute good or bad effects to wholesome and unwholesome food. In answering the doubt of Aginvesha, Lord Atreya explained all the principles of immunity and susceptibility in individuals so beautifully that all the modern concepts of immunity are thereby encompassed. The concept of immunity in Ayrveda is so simple, so natural and so effective that everyone can very easily understand it, follow it and achieve it.
Balance in health!!!           Is everything for all of us to walk on this planet with a meaning?  If FEEL YES!!!  so here Ayurveda has a great wisdom to work on this on root level — According to Ayurveda a state of health is explained and thought in a very beautiful way by Achary Sushrut . — The concept 'Man is a miniature of the Universe'. Ayurveda aims at a life attuned to the nature. Life is relational, interdependent, interconnective, ayurveda is a system of mutual nourishment and care, not only physically, but also psychologically and spiritually. — Every individual is composed of a body, mind and spirit. The ancient Rishis of India developed the Science of Life in all the three dimensions viz. Ayurveda, which deals mainly with the physical body; Yoga which deals mainly with mind and blissful soul within . — Your physical body must be in balance with Nature, your mind must be in harmony with the group-mind of th...
Abhyangam- (A classical ayurvedic  oil massage) There are number of massage technique available in whole world according to couture and demand of the season and individual body. Abhyangam is an expression of love for your very own body which is very lovingly anointing us from head to toe with warm medicated oil. The Sanskrit word  Sneha  can be translated as both “oil” and “love.” It is believed that the effects of  Abhyanga  are similar to those received when one is saturated with love. Like the experience of being loved,  Abhyanga  can give a deep feeling of stability and warmth. A daily  Abyanga  practice restores the balance of the doshas (vital energies of body) and enhances well-being and longevity. Regular  Abyanga  is especially grounding and relaxing for Vata dosha imbalances, but everyone can benefit from this practice. “The body of one who uses oil massage regularly does not become affected much even if subjecte...
